are you worried that you could be sharing copyrighted files on p2p networks accidently. well the nice people at the mpaa have released a tool which will scan your hard drive for any possible copyrighted files.

Im gonna give this tool a try now for a laugh. from what others have said it basically reports any file with a suspicious extension like mp3 or avi.

A bit disappointed with this really. it seems to have missed alot of my files. it does not look for shn or flac files for a start. it also flagged all the mp3's in any of my game folders as copyrighted. looks like the Mpaa is finding out how hard is it to distinguish between copyrighted and not copyrighted files. trackers for bittorent are having the exact same problem. :lol:

lol, in that case, you can only assume that those flac and shn files arent copyright...ah well, must be ok to have them then! Good defence, just in case methinks :DQuote:
