Recycle Bin??!??

Is there any way to remove it from my desktop? :unsure:

Yes.

Remove Recycle Bin from desktop:

Note: First create a shortcut to the Recycle Bin somewhere else. The root of C: is good.

Start>Run> type "gpedit.msc"
+-User Configuration
-+-Administrative Templates
--+-Desktop
"Remove Recycle Bin icon from desktop"
Set to Enabled.

Reboot required for changes to take effect.

1) Go to START and select Run
2) Type GPEDIT.MSC
3) Navagate to User Configuration - Administrative Templates - Click on Desktop
4) On the right hand search " Remove Recycle Bin icon on the desktop " and double left click on it to ENABLE it.

Or right click on desktop, uncheck show icons. Hey it hides all, but you asked! :D

So does xp icon wizard cleanup. I think I'm missing something . With any program ...you have to give it access to your desktop . Why would one one not want
the saftey bin? You can configure to delete files with out recycle bin . Just delete! But "I" have little ones so not an option . So , not having my garbarge bin is unthinkable . :) Our friend mattesca, asked how to! Makes sence to me . I just thought it was weird ! :)

it's just the icon, peat moss.
you can make a shortcut to the recycle bin in the quicklaunch bar for example which is where I have mine.

Oh I know Ross , but one can delete the recycle bin . See above , I just saw no use for it! :)
