It's weird.

I had no other browsers up, I'm on my work laptop, and they came outta nowhere about ten minutes before this thread started.

I wasn't quick to blame FST. I waited and the funny thing is hmmmm I was in a particular thread when it happened.

I'll have a look see.

Work computer...can't do it.

I haven't checked yet but it was a certain thread I was in. I haven't seen the pop-up since which kinda debunks the spyware theory.

If it's a particular thread, it could always be some fucktard imbedding code. In which case, a few of us can check to make sure it is something in that thread.

Oh and I prefer the MS spyware doodah to the other ones. It works really well. Not surprising really as they have the code for windoze.

It's this site or something in this site is triggering it.

I just clicked the "Are You A Heterosexual" thread and a pop-up comes up everytime.

Maybe someone on that page has intrusive code in their avatar, post, sig, etc.

I noticed RPerry has the "I know your ISP/OS" doohicky in his sig.

Do you have antispyware or pop-up filter working?

I do not.

I know some spyware can get a trigger from another website to "pop-up".

Maybe that's it....or maybe everyone has a filter/spyware blocker on. :dry:

I'll probably install Spybot, do a scan, then remove it.

I don't know why people haven't suggested this but your problem is Windows Messenger.

Not MSN Messenger.

Uninstall it - it's useful for nowt, anyway:

Control Panel >> Add/Remove programs >> Add/Remove Windows components >> Uncheck Windows Messenger >> Click next >> Click OK.
