Counter-Strike Video Problems!!! ROAR!! ANGRY!!! >_<

i keep getting these white lines... i dunno why and i keep lagging in CS 1.6... i did a fresh installation of windows and it still does the lines... anyone know what could be the problem?

All my other games dont have this problem! (Brothers in Arms, World of Warcraft) and thoes graphics are way more advanced then CS 1.6!

Thats quite odd.. IT may be something to do with your resolution and refresh rate. Also try different vid card drviers. I think i had that once on source.. PLAY CS SOURCE! ITS PWNS THAT SHITE!!!!! :w00t: :lookaroun

hmm... i tried an older version and still got the problem... you dont think its a physical problem with the card? BiA still works great!

Try rendering it in DirectX and mess around with your resolution.

Ya, try DirectX settings, and in your advanced video settings (desktop) try messing around with the performance/quality properties.

hmm... i posted on the counter-strike forums and they said i should play counter-strike in windowed mode. IT WORKED!! kinda annoying with the blue bar window on top but it works! :D

i gotta get this game, unfortunately i cant expierence it on a pc, but it's on xbox thankfully, so maybe this weekend i'll pick it up.

Yeah, using that crappy program is not an issue for me. Sure the servers suck for the most part but they have room to grow. Plus the network is based off the original WON. Using Counter-Strike 1.5(or I guess 1.6) and downloading a small replacement file, you can use CS in all it's former pre-steam glory! :cool:

how is steam crappy, 1st of all i can download games faster on steam, i can get games for free using six-steam or steam loader or whatever and best of all ITS SO COOL!!!

stay as far away as you can from the xbox version of CS, worst game ever.

it flooded my RAM when i first got half-life 2(now that seems to be fixed). buddies still doesn't work. if your net fails or their net fails; you're fucked.

worst of all it's a step closer to letting palladium exist, which would kill off shareware, freeware and any software projects without major funding (apparently :ermm: )

not to hijack but Iceworld sucks on CSS, its better on 1.6 imo, but every other map is better on CSS then CS 1.6

Since when? You could get them free, then they upped server protection, now you can't.
