Do you remember......

Looking for books in one of these:

or the Indicus Medicus and the equivalents for Journal articles

The Indicus Medicus was this huge book published every 3 months or so.

I used it to write my biology term papers.

It came in 2 ways:

1 book listed all the article references, the other was an author reference.

So if I found a relevant article written by John Q Public, I could use the author guide to find all of his articles in the last 3 months. If you wanted something older, you would have to get the prior Indicus Medicus book.

Long story short, it was a nightmare and you would literally need to look at 50 or so of these awkward books.


Reason I post this is because I have learned so much this weekend by simply using the Internet and Google.

What I have unearthed this weekend would have taken literally weeks to do back when I was in school.

I'm giving the Internet 2 thumbs up.

Lazier, certainly.

I don't remember using that to study, hobbes. I didn't use the internet that much either but I do wish I'd had access to it at the time. I would have been able to procrastinate in halls rather than at the library.

yes gemma they where but it was'nt a ghost ,she was jus caught with her skirt down!:lol:
