Delirio Caldo :: Higher than God
By the time the first track ends I'm already asleep :D
Good luck in finding it though 'cause it's pretty rare.
You can get it on SoulSeek if I remember correctly...and you should!
The best music to sleep to:
I know this personally. I found 1 artist that helps me sleep.
Cliff Martinez. Specifically the Soundtrack from Solaris and Sex,Lies and Videotape. I've been using it to go to sleep for the last 6 months. I first used sound from "Sounds of Nature" Thundering Rainstorm and Rainforest, but this was better. Just make sure to set it on repeat and get comfortable.
Also, don't smoke tobacco, drink alcohol, or drink any caffeinated drinks within 2 hours of going to sleep. Keep the lights low. Buy a sleep mask ($7 US$.) Keep the ambient temperature at a comfortable level. Elevate the head at least 1 inch or so above the rest of your body (since the blood will flow less to your brain than at flat position.) And for God sakes, stop the Coke/Meth/Ecstasy habit!
If you want detailed info, PM me.

The Lord of the Rings soundtracks are good to sleep to.
this may sound weird, but listen to this when trying to go to sleep, due to popular belief, slipknot isn't ALL hardcore..., in fact, this song is very artistic and is very slow paced with no yelling or anything, trust me:
Slipknot - Danger - Keep Away (Subliminal versus version, NOT the long version, the short version)
The new coldplay single is really good IMO, Coldlplay - Speed of sound.
Tis all about the Jazz at bed time. Find some jazz and you will be asleap before you know it.
Not music but will put it on disc for ya my wife NAGGIN lol
Dido is also alright....she got some really nice songs
surpisingly enough Unearth and Lamb of God put me to sleep the best.
Radiohead's Kid A is good, but it always makes me tired.
ray charles always works for me, and the song has to be georgia on my mind.
I usually listen to bands like Blur, Mogwai, Godspeed you! Black Emperor, Explosions in the Sky, Beck, Muse, and Pink Floyd when I'm sleeping.
DMX feat. Eminem & Obie Trice - Go To Sleep

Try Enya's newest record.
lord of the rings or star wars
I'm suprised no one has mentioned Portishead
final fantasy 9 piano, it's great
somebody already mentioned these two but i've gotta second the suggestions of EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY (very good instrumental) and Mogwai
id suggest 311, but you have to filter out some "heavier" stuff first before going to bed, or youl get an unpleasant surprise around 3 in the morning ;-)
Theatre of Tragedy - A Distance There Is
Within Temptation - In Perfect Harmony
