Re: Selling a computer...
It all come down to how much your friend is willing to pay.
Re: Selling a computer...
Ask them how much there willing to pay, say its $350 or something and say No way this has the new hyper processing memory cooling stability system installed thats worth $350 alone. So you end up getting $500+ for it, even though its worth fuck all.
Re: Selling a computer...
So far, i got an offer for $450.00..
Think i could get more?
My friend knows very little about computers..
But i don't want to jipp him..
Re: Selling a computer...

Then take the money but set it up for him . Like format ,reinstall windows and install programs. Burn him some copies for backup . Ghost his drive , give him a copy of windows . Get him to supply the disks . Everyones a " Weiner " . :01:
Oh , first and most important get him to supply the beer , and remind him the stores charge way more . :D
Re: Selling a computer...
oh ffs....
first you say you dont wanna jipp yer mate....
then you say youre just trying to clear yer conscience....
just put a damned price tag on the pc
if you get laughed at, you know you put the wrong price on it
Re: Selling a computer...
What does your friend want to do with this PC?
If it will perform up to his expectations then $500 is not unreasonable ( XP Pro is worth $200-250 alone).
But...
If he thinks he's buying a super gaming machine or something then he's going to be pissed no matter what he pays.
If you can meet (or even better, exceed) his expectations, then the price is not a big deal.
Re: Selling a computer...
