in related news, tom cruise has been flipping the fuck OUT all over television, re: scientology and katie holmes. he really IS frank t.j. mackey. the "i am quietly judging you because you won't let me control your mind" guy. he wasn't playing that guy, he IS that guy. my guess is that this has a lot to do with switching publicists... his old publicist was doing a great job of making him appear sane, and his new one does not have the ability or the motivation to keep him from acting crazy in public.

Bit worried about wotw though, can they do justice to the orig? Even if the sfx of the orig look crap today, they must've been Spielbergesque at the time, they're really gonna have to pull out all the stops this time!:P

Since Batman was mentioned a few times in this thread I feel it's relevant to say: GO SEE BATMAN....YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!! I saw it last night and I walked out of the theatre moreso please than when I saw Star Wars. The directing is amazing, the cast was chosen very well, and if you haven't read the comics (like me) there's plenty of substance in the movie to keep you interested.
On a side note, Tom Cruise is a psycho and he just got engaged to Katie Holmes. I predict a big scandal and then he will drive his career into the ground.
yeah i hope it rocks too..I would have to hit a theatre for that one.
good
Tickets booked for 1400hrs on Friday 1st july for WOTW looking forward to it,don't care what Cruise does in real life,as long as the films good
So it will be on some torrents tomorrow ??
or maybe on Thursday 30th or friday?
going this friday w/ a bunch of friends, can't wait :D
there will definietly be a cam or sumthin soon, maybe a little longer for a good ts or sumthin..im hopeing weekend :DQuote:

I saw WOTW lastnight and it rawked...Tom might get some of his fans back with this movie lol He didnt sneak any scienceolgy into the movie at all. Another Spielberg hit!
Spoiler: ShowIt followed the 1953 classic pretty close :D with the farm house, the eye scope thingy and the way the aliens died at the end. It had its hookey parts like why did the Boston neighborhood where toms X inlaws live get spared? or why didnt toms X flee with her family like everyone else? or why they looked all clean like the aliens stayed away from thier neighborhood  lol But the funniest part was after the movie was over there was about 15 ppl from the audiance saying the birds killed the aliens lmao from when the birds were all over the tripod near the end.
But all in all it was a good action pack movie.
i had to click on the show button!
cant wait to watch this on saturday
I enyoied it a lot, maybe more then Star Wars,
I guess it had to do with the fact that for this one I wasn't spoiled.
btw, apart from the spanish telecine,
there's still no good torrent.
Im gunna go see it in theaters this weekend.. It good really sweet. THe trailers made it all great and everything.. I just hope I wont be disapointed.
A friend of mine has this on disc already but I don't know the quality.
I'm seeing this in the theater tomorrow (since it's going to rain like hell anyway) that way the rest of weekend is cookouts. ;)
Anyone know when the sequels are slated for release?
just watched this film in the cinemas and i must say it is a good film :P
heres a spoiler :P
Spoiler: Showthe aliens die because of bacteria :|
this was quite a surprise seeing as ive never read the book or watched any previous films... but it was kinda obvious after youve seen it because of the start of the film
  GTFOOH  :blink:Quote:
