what is the best registery clean for windows xp :frusty:
Leave it alone...those cleaners just mess everything up
do they?
I use 2 different programs...'JV16 PowerTools'.....and 'RegScrubXP'
RegScrubXP is idiot proof, no Settings, just let it do it's thing. JV16 is for users who know what they are doing.
Thanks Lion, that RegScrubXP is nice
Im still using TuneUp Utilities with its One Click feature though I hardly know what its doing...
I use crap cleaner.
Regseeker.
Registry MEchanic
I use RegMechanic 4 I'm not clear on what its doing but I have no problems with it and can restore backups.
Thats not true.Quote:

RegSupreme Pro
Regseeker and TuneUp Utilities
I second (and third) that!Quote:

Regseeker and Registry Doctor have caused me problems. I wouldn't recommend them.
I recommend RegSupreme Pro 1.2 or jv16 PowerTools 2005 for advanced users.
jv16 PowerTools 2005's registry cleaner can also be updated to help clean even the newest of registry errors or to stop cleaning potentially dangerous ones.
Tuneup utilities very easy to use
I did a few tests using the latest versions of these multi tool cleaners
this is how many reg error they found
JV16: 273
CCleaner: 19
ASMW: 176
Registry Machanic: 106
Ccleaner works for me, its a fast "disk clean"Quote:
