This versions make a fake ratio but some webs like this one http://www.btarg.com.ar:81/tracker/ (spanish) they now are banning a lot of users and torrents clients.

I have some trouble understanding this.

Are all the clients you listed in some sorta ban list or wtf?

If there is some sort of ban list, who is making it and why?

And no, a link to spanish site dont help at all.

I would have thought that if the problem was as bad as that site suggests we would have heard a lot more about it before now.

However, I know pisexy are also banning people who have software which distorts their ratio. They don't say what the software is, but they claim that they can now detect it, which can only be good for the rest of us.

If you know what the software packages in question are please don't be tempted to post links here, we will not condone leeching.

Sorry but my english is bad, What i want to say is that some versions make a simulation of a good ratio and some webs are banning users because of that.

First of all, I do not want to insult any ABC v2.6.9 users, but I have noticed weeks ago when I would check a torrents peerlist, them 2.6.9's always seem to be leeching and never seeding. Might not mean anything, but keep an eye out for anyone using that client.

Ohhh ... & check their mad ratios. 50:1 .. WTF. @ PiSEXY there was one 2.6.9 that uploaded 400GB & download ~3Gb ... bullshit. :angry:

I can upload @ 80KB/s & I don't know how they get them ratio's. I stuggle to maintain 1:1.

I hope I didn't insult any ABC v2.6.9 users, that was not my intentions. I know you are not all cheats, but keep an eye open for people using this client and if their #'s are too good to be true, they are probably cheating the tracker.

Report them ASAP.

You really can't tell by ratios if a person is leeching. for instance, on bitsoup my ratio is

250GB up & 60GB down & a share ratio of 4.166 would not set off any red flags for me.

When I see ratio's like 50 & they are using 2.6.9, it kinda makes me think cheater. I know I shouldn't assume anything. Sorry.

Is that all bitcomet clients because there was something on pisexy, about some of the newer versions but i don't really want to change back because i would loose all my seeds/Dls.

I'm no faker (my ratios are actually quite rubbish) and when i first started using Bittorrents i will admit i was a terrible leecher, I have now defected from that evil path and seed everything i download until it is at least at a 1:1 ratio, although that is hard with some things that seem to have no leechers wanting my services lol.

Use the new BitComet v0.59. PiSexy has unbanned it, as it now adheres to the 'private' key in torrents and disables DHT & PIX for those torrents.

I can recommend it also because it's better with your resources than older BC versions.

i've stuck with it because i like the gui, tried one of the Azeurus releases and G3 but didn't like the gui on either, way too messy imo, i like the simplicity in ABC and it's easy on my eyes

I don't understand why uploading while you're downloading causes so much anxiety. It's not like it costs anything to upload...

i second that dodgy!

trackers with any decent logging mechanisms will be able to capture any clients that are using a mod - they lose the original client ID.

yeah - pisexy is banning a load of users because they are using programs to fake their ratio for them - how sad :(

I don't understant why r they banning azureus... it happend to me more than once that the tracker didn't get the correct size of what I uploaded... it showed a different size than the tracker did...:(((

Well I for one, have know about this for a while, Some BT sites are not allowing users to download from there site if you are using some of these clients that have the potential to cheat. I keep a pretty good ratio myself. On some sites I have 5 to 1 ratios, that is only because they reward me for donating some funds for the cause. I figure it is the best I can do since I like to download from thier site.

For example I can donate $35 and get a 200GB upload credit. Not bad if you ask me, plus they have a lot of stuff I like to get from there site, and this way I do not affect my ratio too much at other sites.

35$ is to much 4 me .... but if u can afford that it's a good bargain... u have good ratios, u don't get banned/kicked/warned, and u everyone is happy :)

when u think this better u might get that this is a form of leeching... but not as severe as the actual thing.. u support the site ... I haven't intended to insult anyone so don't get to mad about this ..

My ISP fixed a limit of 20g for downloading and 10g for uploading and I always upload near 9.99g so those cheaters make me :angry:

I always try to keep a good ratio and it can be very hard... Those guys with a ratio of 50 should be ban forever!!!

Yep, that's me. I use the leecher mods on Pr0n sites. I couldn't give a crap about uploading to those sites. For everything else, I just use the regular Azureus with a normal upload.

not mad at all, I do keep my ratio up anyway, I did not do it just to be able to leech, even though I go the credit my ratio was 2 to 1 anyway. I just like the site so I did my part in helping by donatings some spare funds.

Funniest leech I saw was a guy who joined the site I'm a member of and managed to upload nearly 3 terrabytes in 10 minutes!!! Kind of unsubtle He got banned nearly as fast

No offense taken... I was a religious ABC 2.6.9 user for a year. And then I switched to Azureus 2.3.0.4 for some kicks. And I noticed my ratios are skyrocketing. I don't think my upload or download stats were getting reported properly with ABC. And I have less memory drainage now. I never tried the newest version of ABC but now I don't care.
