"To be totally honest, I really don't care what the deal is anymore. All I care about is getting the game back on the ice," Flayers star Jeremy Roenicksaid in a telephone interview during a celebrity golf event in Nevada.

Finally. It's about damn time. I'm at the point where I can't watch any more old games on LeafsTV, classic sports or the NHL network anymore. I can't wait for things to get underway again.

Only in the last 2 minutes ! :dry: But I'm wondering how the rule changes will play out ? Hopefuly bring some new fans to the game ,lord knows they have a lot of work to do .

Like the saying goes, "drastic times call for drastic measures"
It's always a gamble to make major rule changes but at this point I don't think they have a choice but to do a big shakeup.

I was reading a news artical about the games makers (EA) trying to figure out who's going to be playing on what team so they could adjust their rosters . Their new games are do out soon . Made me chuckle !

I wouldn't even like basketball if the Raptors were my team. :ermm:

Canada already lost one team. I think the Raptors are next. Time to move them into the states.

Imo those who like basketball more than ice hockey or at all (lol) don't understand it. Prove me wrong bb fans. You can't. You never understood ice hockey & probably never played it. Ice Hockey IS THE BEST TEAM SPORT IN THE WORLD!!!!!

Yes. Been watching the whole thing. I always do.
The Leafs just picked up Jeff O'Neill from Carolina. nhl.com link about it Sweet. I like it. Solid #2 centre behind Sundin. I think that pretty much guarantees they won't sign Nieuwendyk.

EDIT: The article says they plan to use him on right wing. I think they need him up the middle more than on the wing. Oh, well. We'll see I guess.

I like Andy Rooney summation of ice hockey....there isn't enough scoring.

Too many games end 1 to 0. I have the same problem with soccer.

However, basketball has more finesse and showtime coupled with basics.
