The mobile phone thing doesn't really help people that much. I read another article and the person who's in charge claimed around 150 to 200.

i'd buy it just for those extra 'programmable' keys. :naughty:

well i saw an awesome logitech keyboard which cost 300 euro's...... im guessin this will be way more......

a good mobile phone can cost up to 700 euro's......... so less than that......... VERY vage........

As I understand, the keys use OLEDs(organic light emitting diode) to display images.

And, you will be able to put any image you want on them.

The inherit problem is that OLEDs of that size [and used in that manor] are relatively new.

Definitely don't want to be a first generation user.

Very cool though, I hope it starts a trend in keyboards.

Having read the patent description I'd say that the patent holder has tried to be a little too clever. As someone on that site has said, the patented design specifically has statically identified CTRL, ALT and SHIFT keys. But the Optimus clearly does not, therefore the patent does not apply.

I must agree, totally. The thing is over $1500 also.

For gaming, give me an 8 (or more) button mouse and a Wii-style nunchuka control for movement. I hate using keyboards for anything when gaming.
