I hold no grudge against KL, just find ED slightly better, last month KL users were below 2 million, and once it hits summer its now reaching 3m again, I really hope KL will just die, so I can concentrate my bandwidth on ED

Why can't you just use edonkey and stop using klite?:blink:Quote:

kaza lite k++ is still the best.
kaza lite k++ is still good to go for people who cannot configure a firewall....other that that it is crap. To many fakes and way too slow!
i wudnt call it slow stil get sum gud speeds wen i use it... use ur common sense about the fakes preview em check the filename etc.........
There is nothing of any value on there now.
All Apps are repackaged or fakes/viruses. All music is top-40 pop and lots is fake.
well, there is another very good reason why kazaa won't die: if you are looking for a particular song, that is not at the charts right now, kazaa is still the best place to find it. an example: you happen to hear that crazy tune "Gimme Dat Ding" by The Pipkins from 1970. your best shot will be at kazaa! but if you are looking for mainstream/top20/etc than kazaa has been destroyed (if you havn't learned how to weed out those bogus files, that is :-)
I've found 68 sources for "Gimme Dat Ding" by The Pipkins using Shareaza... :dry:Quote:

for songs ares is great
yall knock on kazaa way too much lol, I still use it today and am just fine. Ive even tried emule and bittorrent..those are the ones that are normally too slow for me, they take forever to start..as bad as trying to use verified hashes for kazaa.
And you cant say kazaa doesnt have good songs left..just tonight i went thru and found 10 good songs i heard on the radio and wanted to DL (granted they wernt new). Yeah i found a few fakes but it didnt take long at all to start a download, preview it then try a different download if it was a fake.
I use IRC to download the big software programs but other than that kazaa has been getting me what i want.
its because theres alot of porn on k lite
Last time I used Kazaa I couldn't find any of what I was looking for .At the time I thought Warez is taking over .
all you kazaa fanboys amuse me.
move with the times, and get with the program. the program not being kazaa in this case.
as sad as it is to say, kazaa is a lost cause. In the hay day it was this great program and the community here was just for kazaa (k++). Yet, as the times have changed so have the programs and I have personally not used kazaa in a long time, right now it is dc++, but im at college. It is not that there is not a need for a program like kazaa, with its simplicity, but it is a matter of easy of use over the content.
ive always been one of those people who has always said, kazaa is still great and will never die yada yada yada, but i cannot defend the network anymore, the amount of fake files is simply unacceptable, i tried to download a song today using the program and i was immediately flooded with fakes.
so i opened up shareaza, typed in the song, first one in the list and hey presto..
Well, new songs are gonna be corrupted/fake. Like looking for Black Eyed Peas...they are all gonna have bad IPs & fake files. (If you use K-Lite the analyze IPs helps determine this)
Old/Rare songs are the only reason KL still lives especially theme songs from TV shows or soundstracks from old movies. This is why I still use it and ya know, it works for me. :)
you can also get some pretty funny parody songs that cant be found elsewhere. KL still has its uses, altho somewhat limited, nonetheless, It is still a resource. :)
There's a lot better alternatives out there for just that though, like DC++ soulseek etc.Quote:
