Athlon 64 FX-60 marks the end of single-core CPU's, and finally puts the last nail into the coffin of single-threading. The product will be clocked at 2.6 GHz and it will actually get beaten in some 3D tests by its predecessor, 2.8 GHz clocked FX-57.

The new FX-60 has two cores joined at hip, with a modified memory controller to fit the bill.
or...what were you trying to say?
dear god lol
Well, it's clocked the same as a fx-55, so it's a fx-55 dual-core i guess.
It's probably worth the investment in the future, but now, the fx-57 is still 0.2ghz faster than the fx-60 dual core, and this 0.2 ghz showed up in the gaming benchmarks.
I was drooling over this one last night, but dear god is it expensive...
indeed...they would make more money selling it cheaper, because more people could afford it. $500 would definately make more money in the total outcome.Quote:
