download http://www.videolan.org it has its own codecs to render movies, or the klite codec pack
with both you can play anything
I woudltn touch teh kazaa codec pack actulyl its buggy and f*cked me up bad with freezing ect.
Ohhh I know this one... I'm new to this vidio stuff too but I've been reading the FAQ's
Codec is short for COder/DECoder it is simply the "formula" or software that tells a player how to show the clip.
Just thought I'd post this:
