hi, is there any solution to uninstall avast from pc?
Reboot in safe mode, run the uninstaller from Add/Remove Programs (or whatever it's called now), make sure to select all components and not get guilt-tripped into canceling, then you're done.
I have no idea. I do recall that long ago Symantec offered a Norton uninstall tool, but that was because Norton was so bloated and buggy it often couldn't be removed through normal means
All the security software I've had to deal with was killable using the method I mentioned; at worst, you'll have to dodge a few pop-ups attempting to scare you into not proceeding (or offering you discounts).
I know but they did offer you some sort of uninstaller if you used either the free version or the paid one, it seem to keep pieces on your pc to stop you from installing another maker of anti virus software??
Again it doesn't hurt to check on there main site, it was just a suggestion...
And just as an example, i have done a raw search after installing any software and used Revo uninstaller, and always seem to find shit leftover:idunno:...
Your method for sure is the right one to do if there is no uninstall program with the software?? but it doesn't always remove everything......
Again there is a difference with the paid and the free ant virus installs as well......
use avastcleaner from https://www.avast.com/en-eu/uninstall-utility
Works flawless...
I've never heard of this before, got a source? Not only would this behavior be prime antitrust lawsuit material, but also suicidal from an advertising/PR perspective.
Some software is invasive as fuck, that's why I evaluate everything new inside a virtual machine or Sandboxie before deciding whether I want it in my "real" system. If the answer was no, I just have to discard changes in the VM or wipe the sandbox... no need to spend hours removing junk files and registry keys :dry:Quote:

^^marginally related: what VM would you recommend, in terms of performance and ease of use? Does it make a difference? Assume that I don't know anything about that subject.
Then VirtualBox it is. I use VMware and it's widely reputed as being the fastest, but also too complex for a newcomer, with many relevant configuration parameters not exposed by the interface at all. There is a simplified "Player" version, but last time I checked it had very little functionality beyond the basics.
Ya when it comes to Sandboxie and stuff my kids played in them i never did:)
My view when it comes to Anti Virus programs, i pay for them, just the name and using keygens and or pre cracked, using those words to prevent the exact never made any sense to me buddy.....
Nero also had uninstall EXE's as well in the old days.......
What is this...

I am pretty sure they all have these no??
I did read and do a ton of research on this stuff in the old days and you can decide what chunk of your hard drive you allocate for it as well...
I thought is was cool when they showed the pictures of the hard drive and stuff how it worked, but again i never used it.....
