I'm just curious what's the purpose regarding the sign [ - + ] behind My Assistant.

It doesn't change size of the window when I click + or -?

It's a javascript so check Your settings in Your browser.

Where? Under Java VM, there are three options to select. There's only one tick on it, the second one.
