When you're using k-lite you don't need it, just keep the ip blocker updated...
When using another P2P application, yes...
Or you could import ips to your firewall explanations and files here
OK, that's what I thought. Thanks for the linkage...
BTW, where do I find PeerGuardian? I saw some links to download it but the version I found didn't have an installer??? What do I need? I don't currently use a separate firewall btw (except the one built into XP).
direct dl :)
edit: don't use the firewall in xp, it's pure sh*t... Have a look in Softwareworld for hashes to other firewalls.
OK... I have links to some very useful sites anyway so I can pretty much find all I want ;) I'm not sure which firewall to choose though -- I tried ZA and didn't like it, maybe I'll check out Sygate?
Once again, thanks. I'll go grab PG right now.
ZoneAlarm
is better than Sygate. If you decide to use it you can PM me for the serial
I think he said in his reply he didn't like ZoneAlarm (ZA) . Though I would recommend Norton Personal Firewall most people wouldn't I have been using it for a while and love it I don't really see many downfalls to it. Also it blocks nearly every ad like banner ads, pop up ads, pop under ads etc . . .Quote:
