ipod prices
I am about to leave for New York City (staying in Manhattan). I was wondering if in any of the smaller shops the ipod prices would be much different from the Apple Store. If anyone lives in the area I would appreciate shop names and addresses if possible.

Re: ipod prices
Watch out for fake products. I'm not sure if iPods fall into this category but it happens.
Refurbushed is another issue too.

Re: ipod prices
if you want a cheap on the you dont want an ipod...if you really want an ipod that bad then dish out the money...

Re: ipod prices
Yeah, you really got no choice when it comes to pricing. All authorized Apple resellers only sell at "suggested" list price. (it's a contractual thing)
If you find cheaper prices then buyer beware.

Re: ipod prices
there is only one way i know of to get an ipod below the 299 cost (or whatever yours is). That is if you have a student, employee or some other discoutn through apple. the 299 ipod would cost me 279. I have never seen one lower then that proce for a new one (i dont think you can get it that cheap on ebay with shipping)

Re: ipod prices
I'm a highschool student, what are the requirements for the student discount?
-
Re: ipod prices
for the most part it is university student inly unless you go to a school that give you a discount on computer goods. The problem is that the school may recive a discont and the students may qualify it is that the school isn't knoweldgeable of it or, you have to ask for it. check apples website for details, but as i said you may or may not even qualify if your school gets it.
