i have 1.1 mb broadband and a bt voyager 2100 wireless modem, but get dl speeds of 34kbs when downloading from lokitorrent and pirate bay.
i am unsure of what the problem is but my friend said i may have too few ports open or something like that.

Re: i am getting really slow downloads with lokitorrent HELP!
give us some more info.
do you get better speeds when you download using torrents from other websites?
do you have a router?
Re: i am getting really slow downloads with lokitorrent HELP!

my router is the bt voyager 2100 and i want to use loki torrent
on pirtate bay i got crap speeds, like 1-2 kbs and with suprnova.com i get similar speeds to lokitorrent
Re: i am getting really slow downloads with lokitorrent HELP!
you need to port forward it.
also make sure you dont use one of the standard ports.

Re: i am getting really slow downloads with lokitorrent HELP!
im also having this problem like 4 days ago my speed was 350kbps and now i get speeds like 30-40kbps on ET
my router is a D-Link DI-614+ and the wireless adapter is D-Link DWL-120+
BTW: when i load pages on the net it loads normally its jus my speeds on BitTorrent
and i tried to port forward at portforward.com and its too complicated
Re: i am getting really slow downloads with lokitorrent HELP!
i tried to port forward but didnt know how it would help and it was far too complicated
Re: i am getting really slow downloads with lokitorrent HELP!
It's not only about port forwarding. It also depends on the user upload speed that you are downloading from. If you run into some luck person with 1MB upload speed, then your download speed will be fast. But then again, the chance of that happening is low.

when there are more then 100 seeders/leechers you should get a decent download speed.
Check out portforward.com for any help. if you set up your router correct it would really help :)
