Help Building Computer...

I recently decided to build my own pc..... Have a budget of £500... ( Have no knowledge of putting together a pc.... ) So I was hoping if anyone could look over the parts i have chosen and give me advice if they will work together and if theres anything else i may need ...

This is what i gt so far costing about £470.00... (cheaper alternatives ??)
Iam hoping to run vista on it ....

Looks good actually. Only things I would really recommend would be a better graphics card, but if your not doing any gaming at all then that looks solid.
That, and a better quality PSU. Corsair makes an excellent product, the VX550 would suit your needs, or if you wanted modular the HX520 is great but a bit pricier. Some of the Antecs are good too. There's no point risking expensive components on a cheap power supply.
The Gigabyte motherboards are good too, check out the P35 boards from them as well.
But overall, that's a really solid build.

I agree with K., everything looks pretty good except the PSU, which I'm not familiar with.
The only "review" I could find was so lame as to be irrelevant ("It has TWO fans and fits in my case! I give it FIVE STARS!!!).

Would you mind showing the prices for individual parts and maybe give us a few links where you UK guys can buy stuff?
It's hard to make recommendations when we don't know what's available to you- is there a Newegg-like site for you furriners?

I would go with this Seasonic instead of the dubious first choice.

Seasonic makes the Corsair PSUs I'm so fond of and their quality is excellent.

You needn't worry about the apparent disparity in output...that Seasonic will actually deliver more usable power than the supposed "500w" Arctic unit.
Probably more than their 700w unit as well.

The power supply is usually overlooked. i went through 3 PSUs before i got a good one that was solid. And usually those dirt cheap 500w power supplys are overated and cant supply that much watts. Dont known about psu pick though

IMo you should take Hard Disk with 32 mb of cache

add few bucks and get 8800 series

You plan to run Vista yet haven't budgeted for it? Downloading?

Monitor, keyboard, mouse, Cat5 networking cable, wireless card, printer, router etc need to be considered as well if you don't have them already.
