Definently NTFS.
out of curiosity, why is that?
File compression ;)
And WindowsXP runs more stable (at least from my experience) in NTFS rather than FAT32
lol this belongs in softwareworld :P
i prefer NTFS because of the encryption and because when u reset the computer beccause it crashes or something, it doesnt have to do a scandisk :D
This has been asked several times in the past.
The last time, several (alleged) computer savvy folks claimed that using FAT32 would allow XP to run faster, so I tried it out.
Couldn't tell any difference at all either way.
Currently I'm on NTFS, but can't give a good reason why/why not.
benefits of ntfs as above, plus better security.
BINGO!! For those of you who have read my other posts, you'll notice I'm a little paranoid. I've had several virus's and number of trojans. A friend downloaded a prog off Kazaa Lite with a trojan and had the cops call on him. Seems someone ws using his cable modem to hack into sites. OOOPPPSS!!Quote:

Use NTFS to set yourself up as the Administrator with a pasword. Select the drives/folders/files you want to lock out and no one can mess with them without the passkey.
As for Windows encryption, HAH! Their security, as a whole, sux. I use 2 stand alone apps: CryptoForge and the Steganos Safe. CryptoForge first, then chunk it in the Safe!
Im probably wrong. But I think soon the fat file system will be obsolete. Kinda like windows 95 and 98 will be soon.
