im at work all day and leave torrents running at home, i often wonder how they are doing, wouldnt it be coll if there was a client that could email you your torrent stats every 12 hours or something, or you send it an email and it replies
or even better sms to ya mobile! rock on!
-
sorry thats every 2 hours not 12, that be pointless, but then i guess if ya get an email saying your d/l at 12 k or that its stopped there isnt a lot ya can do about unless ya can email it something that gets it going again, ....
sorry guys im at work and bored

Both ABC and Azureus have remote admin functions using a web interface. ABC has it included, Azureus's is still experimental.
With that you can not only look how the torrents are doing, but even start/stop/pause them.
-
ABC has a built in webserver
this means you start it at home set a password, then if you dont want to set up a server with php yourself you can go to this homepage and choose the right version.
On the next page you enter your ip address and password and then you can see your downloads. You can also pause them or add new torrents, just make sure that oyu set a default download directory in abc if you want to add torrents with the webserver.
Edit: too slow

that all sound pretty hard to do, but is cool if i could do that, do you have any guide links on how to do this type of stuff?
by the way thanks
-
it just sounded hard because i explained it bad, its piss easy to do :D
first start by downloading bc then we'll see :)

or just install vnc, netop or smth like that. vnc is free but only has encryption for the password. with those prgs you can administer your comp as if you were sitting at it.

oh so u guys have done it? is it safe?
