i am looking at installing Windows XP Pro on my computer (from Win 98). The thing is though i have just built my computer about a month ago and cant be bothered starting from scratch again so i was gonna just do an upgrade install.
My question is -- do i have to remove all my existing drivers before i do the upgrade ??
PS -- if any of you didnt know windows 98 will be discontinued as of June/July this year

go to the system in control panel and remove the drivers that u dont want in there Dont go to ad remove hardware!!!! :o it course problems

I would recommend you do a clean install.

Yes, just reformat and wipe 98 clean....i have a XP and a 98, i have never reformated the XP, but i have heard all you do is put the CD in the ROM and restart

yes if its bootable it will boot up after a clean install but make sure your bios has it set to boot from CD ROM
