I downloaded windows xp, but it only runs when I insert the cd while it already started, how can I do it so it runs before login on windows, like the real cd.

I downloaded windows xp, but it only runs when I insert the cd while it already started, how can I do it so it runs before login on windows, like the real cd.
You need to set your bios to boot from cdrom. To enter bios press f8 or delete when your computer is booting up. Look for boot from first device, change it to cdrom.
If your CD is not bootable then:
Make yours bootable: http://old.bink.nu/xpbootcd/
or
Use a boot diskette set from: http://www.computerhope.com/boot.htm#71
