I just saw on news that soon you will have to pay .99 cents per song. Will that be for all p2p programs. WTF is talking about. Are they going to finally shut down kazaa or modify it?

Its a new filesharing service by Apple. It has nothing to do with Kazaa. Look here.
The bad thing is the file type being offered.
It's an Apple proprietary type(AAC). Complete with DRM built in. (can you say .wma?)
I don't own an Apple iPod.
Hmm, first I burn my newly purchased songs to CD.
Then I rip them to my computer into an mp3 format.
Now I import them into my[expensive] portable mp3 player.
Simple <_<
yea, but atleast it's .99 cents for no problems or anything...pure verifiedz...
eh free is better
Yeah, I've seen that article.
Mac users are such sheep.
The reality is, Mac users make up but a [very] small fraction of users out there.
I'm sure that older users will adopt this service but the largest demographic, males ages 18-35, won't.
The problem is that not everyone can be arsed with this. Most people with broadband could easily download an mp3 in less than a minute so it's not worth it (even if the file is fake then it is very fast to download another mp3).
