the GTS vs. GTX or opinions on the geforce8 in general?
if you're going to go with the GTX make sure you have a VERY VERY superior system. If not, then your CPU/memory is going to be bottle necking the video card.

the 6300 is DEFINITELY not good enough for the GTX. You need one of those Core 2 Extremes to get the full power of the GTX.

It should say X64 when you're looking at the description/name of the OS you're going to be buying.
And you're getting the GTX for your laptop? what?
i want to get a new card for desktop since i have a old one, and my laptop i am not sure whats specs i should get on it. i was asking how do i find out if my desktop has a 64bit OS?Quote:

you can right click on my computer in the start menu on XP and go to properties. Or you can go into control panel>system>system info(? I don't use XP anymore so I'm not sure where everything is.)
