i'd get the gba sp. it's smaller. and u don't have to use the light 24/7. so it's pretty much the same battery wise. also, the sp has a rechargable battery. that'll come in handy
The GBA is hard to bloody see the screen off, feels semi-bulky in the hands as well but slightly cheaper
The GBA SP is small yet has an easy feel to it. Has a backlight which can be turned off (expect to only be able to see the screen when it's on though :P), and is stylish - If you don't want to be seen as a geek, you can fake it as a two-way ;)
the only reason im concerned about bat. life is because when im on a trip i cant recharge it right?
u can always get a smoke lighter to regular power plug adapter. so u can use all o ur electronics on the carQuote:

HOLY SHIT it gives 10-18 hours of play!!! i thought you only had like 2 hours. im defenitley going for the sp
anyone know the cheapewst place? i can get it for 90 at target because a family member works there. any place lower than that?
u can get gba afterburned, (light like xp) and its better than the sp, because u dont have to recharge it, i would go for the gba
the gba BL has a weird look when you put it in. it adds bulk
Get neither.
A newer GB is around the corner and may not be backward compatible. ;)
