Port Forwarding Kazaa lite 2.6.0

Hey all... does anyone know if port forwarding port 1214 (Kazaa default) in my router will make any difference to d/l speeds?

I'm asking before i do it as with my router its a real pain to port forward and takes forever to submit to firmware!!!
