will our dvd players be able to play these new discs though, or will we need a 'blu ray' player. i sense money disappearing from many people's pockets soon...
I hate technology for this very reason. :(
Pretty sure normal dvd players cant/wont read these.

I think the point of this was to make it possible for a BluRay disc to also contain a DVD part. Meaning, it'd be blu-ray for your blu-ray and DVD for your DVD.
Just use DVD till one of the formats wins, Blu-Ray or HD-DVD.Quote:
