i'm looking for better sandwich ideas...
I'm getting bored of my usual sandwich choices that i make at home for work.
I usually have variations of:
Ham/cheese/pickle/salad
Salami/pepperoni/Cheese
Bacon and fried egg.
Let me know what you guys go for. Needs to be relatively easy and quick to prepare. I'm too old for banana or peanut butter/jam sarnies. I'm looking for good taste, interesting fillings etc.
Thanks!:)

Well, either cook the yolk soft, and eat on the way in the taxi. Or, cook it firm, then as nomal.Microwave for 20seconds, in clingfilm so bread doesn't go minging. Tis good!

Re: i'm looking for better sandwich ideas...
Just cut them into triangles, that will automatically improve them by about 37%
-
Re: i'm looking for better sandwich ideas...
Try beetroot relish/chutmey - adds flavour to most sarnies
-
Re: i'm looking for better sandwich ideas...
What kind of chutmey would you suggest.

Did you just buy a metaphor mixer and felt you just had to use it.

The only exception being beetroot relish/chutmey ones, obviously.

Re: i'm looking for better sandwich ideas...
How dare you get bored of cheese, ham and pickle - it is the sandwich of champions!
Toasting always improves any sandwich.
Grilling the cheese in sandwiches on a low heat for about 7-10 minutes makes it go all chewy, and the oil comes out and kind of fries the bread. Tis goooood.

No, blast the fuck out of it on the highest heat possible. Roasted Cheese > Pol Pot's girly option.

No, school boy error because now you run the risk of getting burnt edges before allowing the cheese to reach its maximum potential. Case closed. I win. Thank you. Goodnight.:01:

Re: i'm looking for better sandwich ideas...
You'll never get the really tasty burnt bits on the cheese if you do it your way.
-
Re: i'm looking for better sandwich ideas...
Depends on the quality of the cheddar. Do it on high until it melts and then leave it on low for ~7 minutes. Some cheddar will go brown and chewy, whilst others will just go chewy. Either way the oil comes out and flavours the bread. Try it, you know it makes sense.

Re: i'm looking for better sandwich ideas...
Yeah and the bread will be all dried out. My way bread stays soft on the inside, toasted on the outside with properly browned cheese.

Re: i'm looking for better sandwich ideas...
Toast the bread.
And put meatballs on it. It's easy if done right! :D (Cold, store-bought meatballs from the deli = 4tw)

How in the name of fuck could you do it wrong.
Toast bread
Place cold meatballs on top.
I suppose you could put the meatballs under the toast by mistake.

I have my moments. ;)
And you'd be surprised what people actually do (or attempt to do) with said meatballs. I'm telling you it just needs to be right! :P

Re: i'm looking for better sandwich ideas...
It still makes me laugh. I have a picture of some Canadian putting meatballs under the toast and saying to his sister/wife "I'm sure that be the resipe"
