Re: The Formula for Laughter
There was a documentary on the BBC a few years back about what, exactly, made something funny - they tried to define it and come up with a formula for a really funny sketch.
They couldn't and so decided that it wasn't possible.
Who are these VIA Ektopia people and why are they trying to pwn my Beeb
Re: The Formula for Laughter
How are you btw, zed? Haven't seen you for a bit.
Family all well?
Re: The Formula for Laughter
errm, the formula doesn't seem to include the factor of "funnyness of the joke"

Re: The Formula for Laughter
Humor is subjective,we all laugh at misfortune even if we don't want to,how many times have you laughed at a loved one's misfortune, before you've checked if they are ok,so deep down I think we are all sadist's mawahahahah   :w00t:
Re: The Formula for Laughter
The documentary i think Manker you speak of is the one where they concluded
that people laugh at anything that is embarresing or hurts other people.
Bush must laugh alot.
@Manker - went to Greece surfed sailed wakeboarded ate & drank my ass off - little luigi aka 50% didn't do so much of that but he definetly enjoyed the colours, the heat, the water and especially all the really ugly but charming greek women that held him.
it seems that baby's are regarded as Devine over there. Nice trait.

Indeed it is.
Glad you had a good time, sounds brilliant - I waited til just recently for my first proper holiday since manlet was born (18 months ago). I had some misguided notion that a baby wouldn't like the heat.
He loved it
Re: The Formula for Laughter
yes it can only be good
nobody is designed to enjoy cold (where we born with clothes?)
but they say you have to keep him in shade/or use major sunblock
i think the basic rule is he/she should wear what you wear. (however kinky your bling)
of when we came back home he started crying
i guess he thought when we were in greece life was simply going to get better and better...
reality hurts
Re: The Formula for Laughter
I found a formula for laughter in a magazine joke, here goes.
Two chimpanzee's having a bath. one chimpanzee goes "oo oo eee eeee eee"
The other one says "well put some cold water in then"
