Mine was Where the Wild Things Are written and illustrated by Maurice Sendak.
Actually, this forum can be a bit like that book sometimes; a wild rumpus.
Maybe that's why I'm here so much...
I also really liked The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle, because it was the only book that actually encouraged you to stick your fingers through the pages. :D
And of course, all the Dr Seuss books, but Green Eggs and Ham was the best imho. :)

Where the wild things are deffinetly my fav, although I read it for the first time 2 years ago to my then newborn daughter. I have all the action figures. Next in line would be the the singing sword, I forget the author, but its an awsome adventure book.

[i]Stig of the Dump
One of the best and most interesting of kids stories I think
Then there were also...
Paddington books, Girlie Mallory Towers Schoolie books and Pony books by the score! The Faraway Tree, Peter Pan and Wendy, with copious Narnia to Famous Five, and a little Lord of the Flies for spice!
:)

Nice selection, sara. I'd forgotten all about Stig of the dump and The Magic Faraway Tree. :)
Here's a couple more...
The Furious Flycycle by Jan Wahl
My Friend Mr Leakey by Professor JBS Haldane
I lost count of how many times I reread those two.

A Journey To The Center Of The Earth by Jules Verne.
