Hell no
no, build a computer, its actually pretty easy to do, just ask people on the forum for help. You will be able to build one with better parts and probably cheaper too.

I would never buy a computer where the motherboard type is unspecified. The motherboard is the single most important piece of hardware in your computer.
It would depend on what you want it for - if it's to be used for gaming or multimedia then it's no use - it needs a better video card and a dedicated sound card.
It also looks pretty unupgradeable - no expansion slots, etc.
Also, this made me laugh pretty hard:
CPUs are chips, not the big box that your hardware is found in. It's quite clear they don't know what they're talking about.Quote:
Product Height CPU 14.25", monitor 16.5"
Product Width CPU 7.25", monitor 15"
Product Weight CPU 22.5 lbs., monitor: 11.95 lbs.
Product Length CPU 16", monitor 5.5"
So... I'd give that a big thumbs-down.
My personal recommendation is to build your own, it's very easy and can be quite fun too. It also means you get to choose exactly what goes on it - both hardware and software.

none of your links work...for me at least.
Also my friend bought an emachine with good specs supposedly. Biggest piece of shit EVER! slow ramn even tho its at pC2700 its soooooooo slow. RIP OFF.
I also dont think I would get 64Bit...
If you want 64bit then wait till intel comes out with something. I dont think 64 will be used alot very soon so i just stuck with 32 bit...haulin ass :D
links dont work becuz its in HIS cart....so we cant view them
no u shouldnt
build a pc (with a good gfx card and sound card as sed above)[prefferably a 5900se]
but of course if u dont believe me u can always go the crapper
rofl omg they dont even say that its using intewgrated gfx RROOFFLLMMFFAAOO
damn nforce2... of all crap get 1 thats actually good not some integrated gfx shit
uhhh im missin the joke.....whats so funny....just cuz it got a intergrated gfx card, doesnt mean anything....you can use another gfx card....
i have an emachine and it has been a good surfing machine, but not much after that, Although the machine you want would be good if you put in a better grapics card. The only problem with emachines is they are absolute base parts.
its ROFLMFAO bcuz the company doesnt say that it uses 64 megs of system memory (for dat they can be sued)Quote:

how are they going to be sue for that? and if you are sensible enough to know what a intergrated gfx is, than you konw better than to use it...if your not , than you're probably not using the computer for gaming so it wouldnt really matter
Are you trying to say that Nforce2 is crap, because its integrated graphics? <_<Quote:

I hope not, cuz nForce 2 is the shit. I can tell such a difference in my sound quality from my 3 year old SOUND card :D lol..very nice stuff
Twister, watch it, you are asking a very heated topic in this forum.
Most of us are computer freaks, and love our machines, so if you ask us whether we would advise you to purchase a emachine with such low spec, you never going to hear the end of the rumbling...
...here are my 0.02cents...if you know absolutely nothing about computers and just want one that works, then get one from a well known manufacturer who can support you. If you are an aspiring computer nerd like the rest of us regulars, then you should just build your own; it will be quite a learning experience. And you have the advantage of having a healthly supply of reguars who will help you step by step.
...if you won't hear anything of the "build it yourself," then just buy a Dell; they are cheapest and work the best...if you buy your comp from best buy, you will get the worst support... B)
That case isnt to good for the xp2600+ anyways.
It would get very hot and die.

Indeed, Nforce2 is an extremely good chipset to come to AMD boards, I love it, and of course, the MCP-T/Sounstorm audio set that your talking about dawg doesnt hurt either.

Why in the hell do you want him to get the midget shuttle PC? Get a regular mid tower, damn. I dont think he should go 64bit anyways really...It doesnt really matter to me..but I would recommend a mid or full tower.
