Well ed2k works on a credit system, maybe you didn't have enough credit to dl it as fast.
But even so it is slow, but it has obscure and rare files, good trade off for me.
Slow but good is supposed to be the idea but I just find it slow. It's a long time since I use eMule or eDonkey. If I ever have to use them nowadays I use Sharaza to access them so that it can also be getting on with downloads from other places.Quote:

But as said, its great for rare files cause the network is pretty large. :)
Definitely the strong feature of edonkey is the large variety:)
If you want high speeds in edonkey you have to get a lot of credit and let the prog run for 24h+, also the file must have a lot of sources/leechers.
I get great speeds because i'm an uploader in a forum so i get a lot of credits :P
Edonkey has always been slow for me, but it had been kinda worth it.
now I'm wondering why all the servers are disappearing?
it has donkey in the name....
edonkey is slow yeps, u need patience when u use it
So...donkey's are rare->emule has rare stuff...can you see the resemblances?Quote:
