Well if no one is actually seeding then there is no point is starting, cuz it is not gonna finish. however, the stats are not always correct. If you use a torrent catcher that gives you info about the file, then you can see the real time stats. A seeder may come back on, or not.
What happens - well most sites remove dead torrents, supernova has enough things on its plate right now so they are not really doing much in terms of maintenence right now, that I can see (alot of dead torrents.)
