Being Lost is pretty fun. You get a bit of a kick from the mild adventure of not knowing where you are, and when you work it out there's the excitement of travelling home whilst not being entirely sure of where you're going.
Not much fun when you're trying to get home before Neighbours comes on though.
I never really liked it. Seemed fairly dull, though I was never able to watch it in sequence.

Shows like Star Trek TOS had different writers for different shows and you could miss 3 and it wouldn't matter.
Watching Lost out of order is like reading a book but starting on page 55, going back to page 19, then going to pa.......

But to me its one of the best series of the moment;
along with BsGalactica, wich starts again Jan 6.
