KCeasy is a windows front end for the giFT filesharing system. Plugins allow giFT to support different kinds of filesharing networks.
KCeasy currently supports the following networks:
FastTrack (Kazaa, Grokster, iMesh)
Gnutella (Shareaza, Gnucleus, LimeWire, Bearshare, XoloX)
OpenFT (A new network developed by the giFT project)
And of course KCeasy is completely spyware free and Open Source.
KCeasy 0.10 is finally here. The following things have been fixed / implemented:
Fixed rec->off == rec->len assert (giFT)
Fixed hash_dsp != NULL assert (Gnutella)
Fixed corrupted Gnutella downloads (Gnutella)
Fixed interface protocol short send problem (giFT)
Fixed problem with alpha blending of XP icons
Fixed installer to not overwrite previous config
Added auto find more sources if download has been inactive for some time
Added auto search more (FastTrack)
Added kzhash support (FastTrack)
Replaced Windows Media Player with VideoLAN. That project rocks!
Added option to always use system default player
Added Theme support for Windows XP
Added previewing of downloads
Added auto update assistant
Added banlist / nodes file updater
Persist download paused state across restarts (giFT)
Made number of sources per download configurable (soft limit)
Some GUI tweaks

how many other people are using this? My giFT keeps having problems and resetting its self. When it does this, if i have cancelled a download, this re-appears in the line

my KCeasy never connects.. why :( ?

It can be your firewall...
-
by the one im using a router... I wonder what port kceasy is using... thanks
-
Q: I'm behind a firewall, what ports do I have to forward?
A: Every network used by KCeasy requires different ports to be forwarded. The interface port 1213 should not be forwarded.
The network specific ports are:
FastTrack: Forward TCP and UDP port 1214 and set 'forwarding = 1' in KCeasy/giFT/conf/FastTrack/FastTrack.conf.
Gnutella: Forward TCP port 6346.
OpenFT: Forward TCP ports 1215 and 1216.
Q: Where can I change the ports used by KCeasy?
A: The ports have to be changed for each protocol individually. You can do this by editing the config files in KCeasy/giFT/conf/<protocol>/<protocol>.conf.
