:(
First post on the forum and I'm hoping someone will be able to help.
I've downloaded Medal Of Honour Allied Assault iso files for cd's 1 and 2 and didn't have any problems (or si I thought!) burning them onto discs after extracting the objects with Isobuster. I managed to "obtain" a CD key and install went as expected until about 28% when I got an error message window popup that said "Component transfer error", something about data files minimal and an unexpected error. Needless to say that I got booted to my desktop without the installation finishing :angry:
Now...
What I need to know is;
Is this a problem with the files I downloaded;
Whether it has something to do with Isobuster which I remember said something about there being unreadable data in a couple of sectors while extracting the objects;
Whether its a problem with Nero which I used to burn the objects onto the Cd;
Or is because I'm using Memeorex 700mb CD-RW's (Memorex DVD-R's are not a favourite of a lot of people from what I've heard/read/assimilated - http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=154020
Hope someone can help as I have too many coasters already around my 'puter!
Thanks in advance
