The benchies confirm my suspicion that the Via chipset outperforms the Nforce3 chip, but there's not much in it. Nforce4 may be a different story though.
Did anyone notice the intel furnace puffing away in the background getting all hot and bothered but still not really able to keep up? :rolleyes:

i'm looking into getting a 939 pin mb along with a 939 cpu. let's hope i don't have to flash mb to get the 939 cpu to work...
Yeah. I heard that this can be an issue. I think the best strategy is to be clear with your provider that you expect the BIOS to support your chip. Be sure to mention all this before the purchase.Quote:
