OCZ dual channel kit....used....
how's this sound for $90 USD, used? ('bout a month old, so I'm told)
FYI, they retail for way more locally.... see?
the guy works for the same company I do,
so I may be able to talk him down a bit on the price
and I'm in the IS dept., so if he fucks me, I'll nuke his PC and cut off his support :P
Re: OCZ dual channel kit....used....
The higher priced ones are shown as OCZ Platinum Edition.
Ask him if they don't work then will he take them back? If so then take them and "test" them. :shifty:
Re: OCZ dual channel kit....used....
On Newegg they're ~$115 incl s&h new. Whats the guy charging for shipping & insurance? That +$90 is your true cost. If he's charging $10 shipping & insurance. Then you're saving $15. Your choice.

no shipping....we work in the same office building/company
but yeah he did get em off newegg for $115,
so he's not losing out a whole lot by givin em to me for ~$90
(as opposed to him havin bought them local and paying out the ass)
*note for cpt. asswad: some people actually sell used shit at below retail
@VB - I will test them right there in the office
there is, I'd say, 3-6 boxes + monitors sitting in the IS area at any given time,
(Dells  but in a pinch....hey....)
I am sure we have something that's DDR compatible
oh yeah and I looked at the product names, but what I really looked at was the product #s
PC Club ($169.99):

Manufacturer Model No: OCZ4001024ELDCPE-K
Newegg ($109.94):

Re: OCZ dual channel kit....used....
If it's a friend of yours, who you trust. Go for it. Although new RAM some can be cheaper & still good. But not with OCZ rep. afaik.
