I downloaded Colin McRae Rally 04 yesterday and when I play it, it closes and exists to windows randomly.

Update drivers, update Directx, Disable EAX out of game, the norm.

the rally races are only on GT cos they had some spare space on the disk
Drivers upto date, Direct X upto date no patches or new cracks for download.

I'm using my desktop your looking at my laptop specs, I got a GF5600 on my desktop.
