windows xp media centre edition, hahaha.
all you really need is windows 9x or 2k, maybe use 98lite to get rid of alot of stuff. then put winamp 2/5 on, and it has a library function, and also a network card to the box to acces the network, and a 3.5mm jack to phono leads to ur stereo.
but if ur old pc doesnt have a tv out, u will also need a monitor near by, maybe consider a kvm switch. keyboard,video,mouse switch

if all you're going to do with the old PC is start it, play mp3s, and shut it down... i'd suggest just using VNC to remotely control your PC over a LAN/internet. no need to buy equipment.Quote:
