Hey guys.
I downloaded the copy of Irreversible that is from sharedaddys post.
I got the srt file also...
I named them the same, "Irreversible.DVDRip.XviD-QiX". avi and srt respectively.
they are in the same directory.
however, I still get no subtitles, in fact, windows media player wont even run the file with the srt in the same directory. (runs fine as a movie, just not when it tries to subtitle it)
So what do i do? did i do something wrong? tips? antyhing?

Make sure both files have the same name (except the extension) by copying the filename of one file and pasting it over the filename of the other (changing the extension of course). Sometimes a space or funny character is there but is not very visible. Also, you might want to try it with a different player. I have that exact movie with srt and I have no problems whatsoever.
Also, create the hash for the sub-file and compare it to what SD posted just in case the file is damaged.

Ya, the names are exact.
I created the hash, and it too is exactly the same.
Still nothing in wmp9. is there an option some where i need to check to allow for that to work, or something like that?
what other player would maybe play it.
seems really strange that wmp wont for me...

WMP is crap.
Get BSPlayer. ;)
It's much easier to use subtitles and it beats the crap out of WMP. :D
