yeah, i read earlier that nvidia recommends 500w for their next gen. i just upgraded to 480w. so i'm hoping that ati won't require more than that... :angry:

I beleive that they recomend that because the majority of people have POS cheap psu's, which are often unable to maintain a steady current, and rarely offer there max output. Im sure that if youve got a good brand, expensive psu then it should be fine with as low as 400watts.

the inquirer lied: none of ATI's chips will be on the .11micron process. ati confirmed that all of their chips will be on .13. previously ATI was on .15microns. they are at .13 now.


however they will still be on only 1 molex
