What about Petabytes?
Petta plays on the left wing for Celtic (sometimes) and he does not bite.

Most 'broadband' connections (be they dual ISDN, DSL, or cablemodem lines) have only 128kilobits/sec (kbps) upload speed. That's 16KiloBytes/sec (KB/sec) upload speed theoretical MAX -- actual useable upload speeds in Kazaa varies, but is usually only 12-14KB/sec.
Make sure to set Kazaa's upload bandwidth limit to 128kilobits/sec if you never see it uploading faster than 16KB/sec (in TOTAL) to people. By giving Kazaa a limit, it won't be constantly overloading your connection as badly.
And disable "optimal bandwidth while idle" -- it's seriously BROKEN!
That isn't true, 576 kbps is 72 kB/s, not 56Quote:

a 576kbs connection is not a dl stream of 72 the mazamum is 56 just deleat the last letter off for example
56k modem
56kbs = 56k = 5kb/s = you could download 10kb in 2 seconds
If you don't believe that, go here (than click the bits & bytes link on the left and pick bits for the input) and convert it youself
I read your original post and saw you said with little b, but the original poster was talking about big b, casue he got the 50 kb/s from Kazaa and like i said, Kazaa really means kB/s, is just a bug...Quote:

oh man :angry:
if you read my post so you have to see that i always write b NOT B
i know the difference between bits and bytes, believe me.
but the beginning question was, if kbps and kb/s are different. he wrote always a LITTLE b.
AND THIS IS THE SAME FOR SURE !!!!!
and if there is a bug in the programm that is MEANING B and writing b had nothing to do with the question if kbps and kb/s are different.
the only thing is when somebody read now 50kb/s in kazaa, that he has actually 400kb/s
but at last again: kbps and kb/s are the same !!!!! :angry:
man oh man B)
so lets tell the guy in easy way what's going on:
if you read 50 kb/s in KAZAA that means 400 kb/s cause kazaa means B by writing b.
that is all !!!!
cu in web ~~~:::... ...:::~~~
but oh well, his question was answered, so that's all that matters, i guess.. :)
LOL, who the fuck cares about bit's and bytes? i have a 2.25MB/s connection and yea that's megabytes.
mbit
1 mbit = 128 kb down
I have a 10mbit line, want a cookie?
1000KB = 1MB
I Have a 2.25MB Line, so that's
2,500KB/sec
#########
If your 1 mbit = 128 kb down
That puts your "10mbit line" @ only 1,280KB/s
yeah and jedibytes and yodabytes :P :PQuote:

You lot forgot TeraBytes (Tb), ZetaBytes (Zb) and YotaBytes (Yb).

The original poster did not mention big B either, so you are wrong. You just went off trying to be a big shot without reading carefully. He has every right to be mad, as it pissed me off too! :angry:
