Didn`t actually remember that ending. Wasn`t as good as the book still but then they really never can be. Ready Player One being totally nothing like the book, story, plot, anything :S Just one of those things you get used to.... I did enjoy the film but it had very little relation to the book. Got to ask did you get the sparrows bit? I thought it might be too obscure to anyone other than a fan

I will tell you Gribley, i can shoot the shit or bullshit my way in any conversation;). But you do speak the truth of the many, if you are a fan of reading novels/books, most would say the book version of the story is always mightier than the movie:D.
