Haven't watched Sons of Anarchy, heard it's decent but I don't think I ever will now.
When I suspend disbelief, I like to do so because of warp drives or planet busting white hole technology, rather than bikers who never swear.
You don't seem like a sci-fi guy, but if you've never seen Firefly, you should watch it. Subsequently not revisting the genre won't be such a tragedy as if you never did.
