The power of suggestion (or just proof of my imperfect mind)...
I grabbed the BluRay release of "Buster" the other day and thought to myself, watch it with the kids, and before you do, watch that old black n' white "The Great Train Robbery" movie with them so they have some historical context.
I am absolutely 100% sure that I had watched that movie in the past. Except... I can't find it, and Wikipedia basically tells me it doesn't exist.
Odd.
I've seen this one with Sean Connery and notably written by Michael Crichton. Obviously not based on the 1963 crime. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0079240/.
There is a 2013 BBC production that originally aired as a two part miniseries that's out there on blu-ray if you want a nod to historical accuracy. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2763296/
The only black and white version seems to be the old 1903 one which I could have sworn starred Buster (Keaton) but doesn't.
I'm thinking I probably watched this one in my younger days: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0059986/
At least I am not going completely crazy. i think. Maybe.
It totally existed, trust me. Known as "El primer gran asalto al tren" in Spanish speaking regions.

I just grabbed a movie from the 60s that so far had only been available on DVD and was just released on BluRay. I had an old .avi that I replaced with a 720p .mkv.
Interesting, the .avi clocked in at 1:22 hr while the new rip comes in at 1:25 hr. Watching them side-by-side you can see how they get out of synch pretty quickly. As far as I can tell both content is the same, no scenes were cut.
Interesting quote, interesting man. ;)
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!" ― Hunter S. Thompson

*(Virtually, but of course.) :alien:
Enjoy your Sunday! :)
I broke my nose this morning.Yes, it was exercise related.
Things I learned from the experience. It doesn't really hurt. It feels funny when you touch if because there's no structure and it's now just soft. It bleeds like fuck. Concrete is hard and fuck and I don't suggest slamming your face directly into it unless you are Meg and then by all means..
im the last one so the internet is mine just need my old handle back
Idol... I'm so sorry... that's kinda what happened to me one night not long after the bacterial meningitis took me equilibrium. Like a fool I fell on a propane barbecue grill handle on a lady
friend's patio off of her bedroom in Okeechobee at 3am, trying to take a piss. I bled like a stuck pig. :(
(She drove me home (3 hrs), after a quick hospital visit. They had to re-break it a week or so later to set it. We never saw each other again, but in a totally weird way... yeah, I called it exercise related too.) :alien:
I truly hope yours doesn't need a re-brake & set later, as they put me under for that. :(
About time your nose matches the rest of your messed up face, Idol. Now you just need a hunch and a bell...
Speaking of bells...
I am wondering if Idol equipped his bicycle with one of theses...

It seems you have lots of luck Stehle, but it happens to be all bad :01:
Tell me tho, well, it was inevitable that you had 2 black eyes after they reset your honker, did it help keeping the sun glare out??

I hope this picture i posted isn't racists, but an African American putting on partial black face never raised any red flags:unsure:
I was doing cable crunches but because of the COVID I was doing them at home instead of a gym and with bands instead of cables. Who besides every child who ever played with a rubber band could have reckoned that rubber has a tensile strength? Anyway I basically held my hands over my head and then smashed my nose into the cement floor with all the force my body could generate plus whatever potential energy was in the band. Cool.
I remember feeling the band snap and then before I could even react, my face was one with the floor and I was thinking (true story)well this isn't very good now is it?
Still I consider myself pretty darnstupidlucky as it could have been my teeth or my jaw. As for hospital:ghey: I cleaned up the area so it less resembled a crime scene and then continued my workout.
That's what they teach us in SpecialEdForces, queer.
Woke up with raccoon eyes. Sunglasses for the next few days I guess.
You only say that because you haven't looked past my gruff exterior and gazed deep into my soul like she has.https://i.fststatic.com/smilies/snooty.gif
Btw Shay says that it's fine if I date his daughter. The only important thing is that I'm white.
I believe that missing piece of your nose ended up lodged in you frontal lobe. :noes:
I used to carry a photo of Bob Marley's nose in my wallet. True story.
That isn't weird at all.
It was just a picture, right?
In other Siberian news albeit not aimed at mouthbreathers........

Don't lose all hope, yank. There's lots of oil in Siberia of there's always a chance that you could still invade it.
I mean liberate it.
Forget oil, we need to liberate someplace with massive reserves of Robitussin *cough*
It is easy to say forget oil because you got lots of it now, i wonder why :)
I just bought shares in Buckley's because everyone thinks it taste good:unsure:
I know i didn't ask for your advice Meg on the purchase, but i figured if you said Robitussin, Buckley's was a sure winner...

I will be very surprised if all this doesn't end in blood.
I don't know how it happened but 40% of America is genuinely certifiable. If, pray to God, the Democrats regain power in the Fall, one of the first things they need to do is reform the education system so that people aren't so fucking ignorant.
I readenoughway too much, it was funny, but it will get better. I just hope I wake the fck up in the morning.
A simple strategy by most rational evolved humans. Oh, and you too Idol...
"I'm running for Congress to..... put far-left Democrats back in their place." Presumably the cotton fields. At least I hope she means that and not internment camps.
Honestly, I'd have no problem with actual conservative values like fidelity and piety if anyone supporting them actually adhered to them or it currently the values weren't largely just trying to fill your own pockets, to keep the poor poor and you know, racism.
