I merely bring this up because though it's been years and apparently a lot has transpired in your life, you seem to be the same old mjmacky.
I don't know if I should be comforted or troubled by this.
Though I get your point, people tend to change in response to their setting. The anecdote seems to hold true often because most people spend very long periods of their life without being influenced by a major catalyst of change.
I have had my life uprooted so often and continue to replicate it willingly, so I'm still operating on my baseline despite constantly chasing different careers and locales. If I ever settle somewhere permanently, I'll probably lose my mind, get stupid, become conservative, and think myself wiser for it. Hopefully the cigarettes kill me before then.

I think maybe I watched too much The Pretender in the years preceding my escape from cable and networks.
May I suggest in this order: short-order cook, Broadway dancer, NFL defensive line coach, assistant to Nicholas Cage and muscle for the mob.

I am astounded at the progress you've made, mj.
You are a paragon of personal growth and development.
Re: Last one to post wins the internets
Spending a lot of time in heathen lands will do that to you.
